Vain

Vain - Fisher Amelie I was seriously surprised by this book. I adored it. Starting off I wasn't sure...the first chapter is hard. Not hard in the sense that it's not written well...but hard in that I felt like I was going to hate Sophie Price forever. It is heavy. There are heavy, serious, real issues in this book. It's not fluff. It makes you think and it makes you feel, but through it all it is full of hope which is my favorite type of book. My favorite lines:"You may have misery. You may lose hope in the sorrow of an unplanned life but as long as you have faith and trust in adoration, in affection, in love, that sorrow will turn to happiness and that is a constant..""No one can know sincere happiness, Sophie, without first having known sorrow. One can never appreciate the enormity and rareness of such a fiery bliss without seeing misery, however unfair that may be."I feel like this is so true. Life is about faith and hope no matter what. I have known my fair share of heart ache in my life, but this book its all into perspective. There is a joy you can find when you recognize, that being alive is a blessing even in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.**Sorry for my not that eloquent review. I am trying really hard to find the words after reading books but I feel like I don't do them justice. I am working on getting better. :) **
